Although I’d seen some preview videos of Dark Sector some time ago, I went into this game not really knowing what to expect. Visually Dark Sector is a delight to look at. It’s a feast for the eyes if you like the dark, dank look. Its visual strength and the quality of its environments came as a pleasant surprise, with the designers having done a great job of capturing the mood and feel of a fictional crumbling Soviet-bloc country.

It’s hard not to initially feel under whelmed by GT5 Prologue. Thanks mainly to the hype surrounding it most gamers have been led to believe that Prologue would look more-or-less photo-realistic. However after competing in my first few races, I do confess to being somewhat disappointed by the visuals. Of course these matters can be very subjective but from the six available tracks, one of the most impressive is Eiger Nordwand, which was carried over from Gran Turismo HD Concept.

Vegas 2 is one of those games you will either love or hate. For me it’s one of the best examples of what a console FPS should be. The controls feel intuitive, it’s easy to get to grips with your AI team mates, and the learning curve is just about right.
